Flerf stupidity knows no bounds. A common claim is that if the earth were a sphere then we’d be using maps printed on curved paper, not flat paper. That they cling to this stupidity and present it as one of their chants shows the level of critical thinking among flat earthers.

A UK Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 scale map covers an area of 20 km x 20 km. That’s a curvature of about 10 minutes (1 sixth of a degree) of arc across the height of that map [1].
Maps are projections of the earth’s surface on a piece of paper. All map projections distort distances and directions when transforming the curved earth surface onto the flat paper. If the earth was flat, maps would have no distortion of scale.
Then there’s that photo of me on the wall. It’s on a flat piece of paper, though I’m sure I’m not _that_ two dimensional.
[1] 20 km = 10.8 NM. 1 NM = 1 minute of arc across the curve of the earth.
