Its a fac regardles of Nathan saying it, all measurments of Earth are flat and require earth to be flat.

All elevations and elevation angles are measured from and use a horizontal, straight reference plane. You can research “Fundamentals of Surveying”.

Flerf comment of the day:
you think u can measure an angle from a curved baseline, youre maths skills must be so amazing u think 2 + 2 = 5.
The rationale behind the flerf chant that “the earth measures flat” is that altitude angles (also known as elevation angles) of celestial objects used in celestial navigation require a flat baseline. They claim that this flat baseline is the surface of the earth.
Inevitably, any evidence showing the earth’s curvature is dismissed and ignored because of this claim. However, anyone with a rudimentary understanding knows this is false:
(more…)Flerf stupidity knows no bounds. A common claim is that if the earth were a sphere then we’d be using maps printed on curved paper, not flat paper. That they cling to this stupidity and present it as one of their chants shows the level of critical thinking among flat earthers.

If the celestials were physical then the altitude angle to them would change with the observer’s height above sea level.
Flat Earther ignorance knows no bounds and is often wilful. To them, stars and planets are just “lights in the sky”. Any suggestion that a great deal is known about celestial objects is met with denial; because we cannot touch them, they believe we can know nothing about them. Astronomy, cosmology and the exploration of space are all a big lie to them.
